Fibre To The Home

 Fibre TV

Client:

Scotia Homes have been building homes across the North East of Scotland for over 20 years. They focus on quality and style, building the types of homes that people want to live in.

Strategy:

Campbell & Kennedy was selected by Scotia Homes to deliver a Fibre To The Home (FTTH) TV network for phase 1 & 2 of a new build development at Dubford, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

FTTH is an advanced technology capable of operating at the forefront of satellite receiving developments. Installing FTTH is fast becoming the way forward for property developers as it helps save costs and means there is no need to have a satellite dish installed on your home.

Our technology team installed a FTTH underground network which enabled residents of the new build properties to access digital television, radio and satellite services. The project team made sure the network was expandable, meaning that it can be utilised for future build phases by Scotia Homes Ltd. To retain the architectural vision of new build housing, C&K liaised with the developers and erected an Antenna Tower within a copse of trees and shrubs to minimise the impact to the aesthetics of the area.

Result:

The high quality new homes do not require having satellite dishes or TV aerials mounted individually and are amongst the first to have TV delivered by fibre optic technology directly into the home.
