Our team were delighted to collect our award at the recent BSI presentation as newly certified in SP203 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems. Earlier this year, we achieved the accreditation so it was much to our delight to attend the presentation and collect our award in person.
After a rigorous two-day audit, successful achieving this award means that we have been assessed to ensure that we carry out design, installation, commissioning and servicing of fire alarms to current British Standards – giving clients confidence that all works will be carried out in line with industry best practise and regulations.
With an increasing demand for BAFE approved contractors within commercial and housing installations, we felt it was an essential accreditation to add to our current list which already includes ISO 9001 and 14001, NICEIC, CAI and SELECT.
Campbell & Kennedy’s Head of Fire Protection Services, Colin Arter, who joined the company earlier this year attended the presentation with colleagues from our Milton Keynes office.
Colin commented, “I am delighted that Campbell & Kennedy is now BAFE SP203 certified. We already have a highly qualified electrical team who can now benefit from the standards and recommendations laid out by BSI for fire safety. Never has it been more crucial to ensure that fire alarm systems are designed, installed and maintained correctly to ensure the safety of building occupants.”
Tom Kennedy, Operations Director at Campbell & Kennedy, added “This is another move forward in the diversification of Campbell & Kennedy into a first class, one stop electrical services business.”
