The development
A few miles west of Glasgow, at 42 Bank Street, Paisley, stands a small, modern tenement block of seven flats. Its residents are all tenants of Williamsburgh Housing Association, a not-for-profit society that aims to provide high-quality, affordable housing to people in Paisley’s East End.
Over the past 20 years, the Association has helped transform the area, tackling poor housing conditions and helping those in need of a home.

The development
West Dunbartonshire Council is responsible for a wide area of South-West Scotland – from the beautiful banks of Loch Lomond to the shores of the Clyde estuary – taking in the towns of Dumbarton and Clydebank and the Vale of Leven. The region borders the west of Glasgow and contains many of the city’s commuter towns, villages and suburbs.
The Council provides social housing for thousands of people, and manages about 11,000 flats. Its property portfolio ranges from four-storey blocks, usually containing between eight and twelve flats, to high-rise blocks each with more than a hundred flats.

Installation on behalf of the Ministry of Defence for a CATV system over a distance of 1.5km to a US Airforce base at RAF St Mawgan. This took approx 2 weeks to complete and included all civils and the re-instatement or road surface. This allowed American servicemen access to TV channels broadcast from the US to be viewed on the base.

A new 600 bed hospital just outside Larbert Stirlingshire is currently being built. On behalf of Mediplan, C&K are installing a new Digital TV & Radio system to provide every patient a digital TV reception and hospital radio via an LCD screen located at their bed along with 300 other points in waiting rooms etc.
